Quiz Night

Pictured opposite, Mrs Coleman and children collect a cheque - just one of the many events that FRPS organise to help raise school funds.

Bringing the community together for a quiz at the Indigo restaurant was great fun and well supported. Thankyou to everyone and here's to the next one!

Our aims as stated in the constitution are:

  • To advance the education of pupils in the school.

  • To develop more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school.

  • To engage in activities which support the school to the benefit of the children.

  • To provide and assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the school.

In recent years we have:

  • Helped fund the ‘Millennium’ extension, which comprises of Year 1 classrooms

  • Improved the outdoor play areas for all the children, including the Trim Trail in KS1 playground, KS2 outdoor play equipment

  • Funded 12 classroom visualisers to enhance learning experiences.

A welcome message from the Co-chairs:

We are both delighted to be a part of FRPS, not only because it is a really successful PTA but because we feel we are really making a contribution to our children’s education.

You can make a contribution too!

FRPS meet on the first Tuesday of the month to discuss fundraising opportunities and organise exciting events which are enjoyed by all.  We arrange the Christmas and Summer fairs, the school disco’s, the mothers’ day stall, sponsored events, harvest festival to name but a few. If there are things going on in school, you can bet that FRPS have had some involvement!

The meetings are a friendly forum and everyone is welcome to come along and have your say. Your support is vital to the school and really can make a difference to all the children who attend.

There are many ways in which you can be involved with FRPS other than the meetings: you could man the tombola at the fair, you could help at one of the disco’s, you can volunteer as a first aider for our events, you could even be a juggler!! Any skills that you have can be utilised in some way by FRPS, so please feel free to contact us and help make a difference to our children.

You can contact any member of FRPS to offer your help or make suggestions via the ‘Contact us’ link on the right We will get back to you as we would love your input and support.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Debbie Munro & Jackie Sproston
